Adam has a BA in music and certificates in violin, performance, and chamber music coaching from the New England Conservatory of Music, the Apple Hill Center for chamber music, the Conservatory at Rivers, and Hampshire College with coursework in Jazz at UMass Amherst, composition and harmonization at Mount Holyoke College, classical violin at Smith College, and ethnomusicology at Amherst College. Sweet opened his studio in 1986 and has been providing musical services ever since.
Adam is the president of Mandolin New England, a 501c3 non-profit mandolin orchestra that provides master classes, concerts and workshops related to the mandolin throughout New England.
From this website you will find a link to Granby Mass Bluegrass, a group that is trying to rekindle Bluegrass jam sessions in Granby Mass something that used to be popular in the 1980s.
If there are any violin, viola, or cello players in Granby, you are welcome to join the Granby Chamber players. We are a all volunteer group studying the works of Mozart, JS Bach, Vivaldi, and more.
